Jane’s Revenge, the far-left network that claimed arson and vandalism against crisis pregnancy centres after Roe was overturned, used it to publish those claims and to urge copycats.
After the listing, PayPal and Banca Etica accounts were frozen, autistici.org went offline, and on 28 August Noblogs was hacked, with an intruder possibly reaching user data.

1. US State Department Names Autistici/Inventati a Global Terrorist Entity
On 26 August 2026 the Department of State, working with the Department of the Treasury, designated Autistici/Inventati a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under Executive Order 13224. The order is the post-9/11 authority used against those who provide financial, material or technological support to acts of terrorism. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the collective “a major far-left tech collective whose services are used by the most active and violent Antifa cells in the United States and across the world.”
Property subject to United States jurisdiction is blocked. United States persons may not provide funds, goods or services to the entity, and foreign banks that continue to deal with it risk secondary sanctions. The same Treasury action listed Palestine Action and Masar Badil.
Treasury placed the package inside a wider campaign. The 2026 United States Counterterrorism Strategy names violent far-left groups as one of three major terrorist threats, and the listing follows a 13 November 2025 State action against violent antifascist organisations and the 16 July ministerial on the resurgence of political terrorism.
2. Structure, Services and Reach of the Collective
Autistici/Inventati supplies encrypted communications and hosting to violent Antifa cells, anarchist and Marxist groups, and other far-left militants in the United States, Europe and elsewhere. Treasury says the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, already designated by the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union, has been among those clients.
The product is a closed stack: encrypted mail and chat, web hosting, secure video, anonymity tools, and Noblogs, the blogging platform named in the Treasury notice. Applicants are screened for political fit before they are admitted. State cites the collective’s own figures — about 16,000 mailboxes, 1,500 websites, 5,500 mailing lists and 10,000 blogs — and says militants have used that platform to publish target lists, tactical material and claims of responsibility.
The collective has operated from Italy since 2001 on autistici.org, inventati.org and noblogs.org, funded by donations. After the listing, PayPal access was cut and Italian reporting said Banca Etica moved to close the account.
3. Sabotage Across Europe: Rail, Pipeline and a Fatal Blackout
On 16 June the Polizia di Stato announced that Digos officers in Rome, acting on a prosecutor’s request, had jailed five people and placed two under house arrest on charges of association for terrorism and subversion. Two of the seven are also accused of the 14 February attack on the Rome–Florence high-speed line, which police valued at €455,000 in damage, together with a concurrent strike on Rome–Naples. Police said both actions were claimed on ispiraazione.noblogs.org, a site created a few months earlier, in a text that tied the sabotage to the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and to attacks on infrastructure. Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi called the arrests a blow to an anarchist subversive network that had targeted strategic infrastructure, including high-speed rail. La Nazione identified a 45-year-old from Terni among the seven. Digos also searched addresses in Milan, Bologna, Naples, Turin, Rieti and Terni.
Police said the same Noblogs claim also covered the March action against the Transalpine Pipeline (TAL), the crude line that runs from Trieste toward refineries in Austria, southern Germany and the Czech Republic. On 25 March the Italian grid operator Terna reported that unknown parties had damaged a high-voltage pylon near Tolmezzo that fed a TAL pumping area. MiRO, Germany’s largest refinery, near Karlsruhe, received no TAL crude for three days and ran on stored oil; Bayernoil in Bavaria was affected as well. Trieste prosecutors opened a sabotage file.
On 3 January a fire on a cable bridge at Lichterfelde cut power to about 45,000 households and more than 2,000 businesses in southwestern Berlin. The outage lasted four days in freezing weather and was the longest in the city since 1945. Berlin’s state-security police treated a claim issued in the name of Vulkangruppe — the German far-left sabotage label that has claimed arson against rail, power and industrial sites since about 2011 — as authentic. On 6 January the federal prosecutor took the case as suspected membership in a terrorist organisation. An 83-year-old woman died during the blackout.
In July, after an Italian warning about a mobilisation against the Lyon–Turin high-speed line, Paris placed eight far-left activists under investigation for criminal conspiracy and organised possession of incendiary material. A 25 July march at Chiomonte saw fencing cut and Carabinieri vehicles burned.
4. US Cells: Portland, Atlanta and the Jane's Revenge Network
Rose City Antifa used Autistici-hosted pages to publish names and home addresses of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and to call for attacks on those officers in the streets and in their homes. The same channel pushed action against Customs and Border Protection helicopters. On 30 April the United States Attorney for Oregon announced that Brian K. Kapileo Nepaial, 38, of Aloha, had pleaded guilty to aiming a laser at a CBP helicopter as it tried to land at Hillsboro on 3 October 2025. The crew aborted the landing.
The anarchist cell that has fought construction of Atlanta’s public-safety training centre used Autistici to claim attacks on law-enforcement officers and to circulate dox lists and stolen private information. It used the same platform to threaten government officials and business owners and to circulate instructions for improvised explosive and incendiary devices aimed at government buildings and local businesses. The cell remains active and still uses the platform to incite attacks on officials, police and infrastructure. On 11 June the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia announced a federal indictment of Katie Marie Kloth of Colorado Springs and Tyler John Norman of Wisconsin for using fire and explosives against property of Brasfield & Gorrie, the training-centre contractor, and for intimidating the company’s employees.
Jane’s Revenge is the far-left banner that, after the Supreme Court overturned Roe, claimed arson and vandalism against crisis pregnancy centres across several states. The network used Autistici to publish those claims and to urge copycats. Four people in that campaign have faced federal charges, including a conspiracy to threaten and intimidate people in the exercise of their legal rights. After the listing, pages tied to Rose City Antifa and Jane’s Revenge on the Noblogs layer began to fail.
5. Sharing a Host with Hamas, Hizballah and the IRGC
A separate outlet on Autistici’s infrastructure published communiqués and calls for organisations already on United States terrorist lists, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hamas, Hizballah, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Informal Anarchist Federation. That outlet was cited in a United States case that ended in a 19-year sentence for attacks on a federal building and a police car. Treasury separately names the PKK as a client. Portland’s cell and that traffic sit on the same Italian stack.
6. Fallout: Frozen Accounts, Downed Sites and a Data Breach
After Autistici/Inventati was designated a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, its donation accounts and its public website went down within two days. PayPal froze the account and Banca Etica, the Italian cooperative bank that held the collective’s funds, moved to close the relationship. Autistici.org became unreachable even though the collective said its servers were still running; it blamed Public Interest Registry, which administers the .org suffix, and said no United States or Italian court order had been served.
Following the designation, noblogs.org was hacked. On 28 August an intruder held administrator access for about two hours, replaced the homepage, and may have reached a table of user emails and hashed passwords. The platform was switched to read-only. A defacement that then spread on X claimed the data had been handed to the United States government. Autistici’s own incident note does not record a handover, and neither Washington nor Treasury has announced one. In the same stretch, pages used by Rose City Antifa and Jane’s Revenge on that layer began to fail.
